Established in 1971, Lowes Financial Management has a distinguished history of giving independent financial advice to a wide range of people throughout the United Kingdom.
The keystone upon which Lowes and its clients have prospered is our personal approach to financial planning, enabling us to help clients with their goals to build and ultimately protect their wealth. One of our proudest achievements over the last decade was receiving the accreditation of “Chartered Financial Planners”, which is considered to be the gold standard of excellence and integrity.
We strive to maintain the highest standards in both the quality of advice that we give and our relationship with our clients; the results of our latest client survey can be read here.
Our work has been recognised not only by our clients but also in some of the most prominent finance awards. We have been finalists in 26 Professional awards since 2009 including being judged by respected Money Marketing magazine to be amongst the top Investment Advisers in the UK for 7 of the last 8 years.
It is a testament to our services that many of our clients have been with us since inception. Each client not only has the benefit of a dedicated personal consultant but also the backup of our highly qualified Technical Department who help the consultant ensure that the advice is current and suitable to their ongoing needs. Lowes advises clients on a wide range of financial aspects, such as investments, inheritance tax planning, pensions and long-term care. A combined wealth of experience and industry knowledge ensures our clients receive financial advice that is tailored to their personal needs and expectations. Structured Products began appearing in the UK retail investment market in the early 1990s, and Lowes has been reviewing them for over 17 years. The number of contracts available was initially very small but by the end of the decade they were being released at the rate of three or four a month.
As the supply of contracts increased, we began to identify an alarming number that we felt were potentially misleading and providing arguably insufficient reward in return for the risk to which the capital was being exposed. As a result, we published a leaflet entitled "The Truth Behind Those High Yield Stockmarket Bonds". The first article warned of the dangers of what later became known as "precipice bonds" was published in October 2000 and was as a direct result of the Lowes leaflet.
Our review service helped many IFAs and investors to avoid similar looking, but very different plans, like the Keydata Secure Income Bond. Equally as important, the service identified some of the better value investments, such as Keydata's FTSE Growthbuilder Plan, Nvesta's Quad Tracker and the Woolwich Accelerated Growth plans, which have done very well for our clients.
Lowes now contributes frequently to the media and we are often the first point of contact for the press looking for unbiased and objective comment on matters relating to structured products.
This website is designed to allow you to gain an overview of this market and invest directly into the plans. There are some products that we have chosen to exclude from our website. This is on the grounds that they are from, or connected to organisations with which we have unsatisfied, ongoing enquiries into client and sector impacting matters. We have an extremely competitive fee structure that allows you to invest in structured products through us without receiving financial advice. Our usual fee is 1.65% of the amount invested. We would, of course, encourage anyone with any doubts about the suitability of the investment for them to Contact Us.
